Before you start working on your ecard, have a clear concept in mind. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What or who is your target audience?
  • What is the emotion or the message you're trying to convey?
  • Which category or event is the ecard for?

Brainstorm for ecard ideas. Write down ideas or take notes. You can use your ideas in a later ecard or use them to write the description of your ecard when it is time to make the ecard.

Visualize your ecard before you get started. Hone in on one idea you’ve brainstormed and develop it into a full fledged ecard. Visualizing your ecard will let you know what you will need along the way.

Know your audience. These are people who will be sending and receiving your ecards.

Plan early. We suggest you upload your ecard 30 days before the event. For example, if you’re doing an ecard for Halloween your ecard should be done by October 1st. This way, you have lead time to market your ecard. Your ecard will be listed in our site, and indexed by the search engines.

When you’re ready with all your raw materials, you’re ready to make your ecard!
